Send Your Spirit

When you send your Spirit, new life is born to replenish all the living of the earth.

Psalm 104:30

Can a drought-bankrupt farmer be saved by longer work hours, more fertilizer, more planting, or more laps around the field with the tractor? No, the drought-plagued farmer's only salvation is found in water droplets of rain.

When life isn't moving forward the solution is not always more work. The barren state of life is sometimes a sign that we are parched for the Holy Spirit.

More than ideas, hard work or commitment we need God's presence to give life. But the Holy Spirit comes not just because we want Him, but because we have created a habitat where He loves to live.

Like the rain is to a dry field, God's Holy Spirit is to us.

What beckons rain from the sky to the earth? Rain comes because conditions are right—a low pressure system sucks in clouds from hundreds of miles to wring them out over our heads.

There is a low pressure cell that attracts the Holy Spirit called unity, repentance, humility, white-knuckle faith and neck-risking boldness.

Father God, make our lives a low pressure system for You and may our lives be full of the Holy Spirit.
