Wimps or Warriors

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

1 John 4:4

Do you see yourself as God sees you?

If we are true followers of Jesus Christ, we are filled with His Spirit and should be walking in power and authority! We have been transformed from the wimps we were—subjected to every form of attack of the enemy allowing him to convince us that we were defeated—to Spirit filled soldiers in the army of our God!

When God brought the Israelites out of Egypt He promised them a new land. It was already theirs. All they had to do was to go in and take possession of it. Sometimes when we are confronted with difficulties which stand in the way of our promise—we decide—"his must not be God". Why do we assume if the possession of the promise demands effort on our part that it must be "me" and not God? He has given us every promise we could ever need. Some require us to step out and take what is already ours.

Sometimes we have to stand believing—no matter what! See yourself as that mighty warrior He has created you to be. See yourself walking in the power and the authority that He has given to you!
