Take Value In The Moment

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.
Let all that you do be done with love.

1 Corinthians 16:13-14

There are no ordinary moments. No matter what the circumstance, there is always, always the potential for greatness befitting the wondrous character of life itself. The difficult times, the challenges, the tragedies are all the more reason to make the most of each precious moment—take value in the moment.

No moment is ordinary when you care, when you sincerely give of yourself, when you make the effort to make it count. Whether you're designing a book cover, engaging in exercise, driving in the car, or in conversation with others, each moment is a golden opportunity—an opportunity to learn, to create, to help, to love, and to fully live.

The value of effort is not only in what it produces, but also in what it demands of you. The greatest opportunity in life is not for a free ride. The greatest opportunity is to be fully challenged, and to meet challenge with effective effort.

The things we value are the things to which, and for which, we give of ourselves. There is no way around that. Some of the hardest working people are those who are wealthy enough that they don't need the money. However, they do need the effort, and the accomplishment, and the challenge—we all do. So make the effort, meet the challenge in every moment, and rejoice in the opportunity to do so.
